Welcome to the 5Star Podcast. This about page is here to get you introduced to what's going on here. This website is currently lacking in both style and features, because I wanted to have some content to offer, rather than spending energy making nothing look good. The Podcast comes first, and hopefully these few web pages will grow to accommodate things over time.
I'm a prolific reader. I read over 70,000 pages last year, that's 221 books. Of those, 29 got top marks from me, and it is those gems in the rough I'd like to highlight here.
The idea is that once a fortnight, on a Friday evening in the UK, I pick one of my treasured top-novels and basically ramble on about it in flattering terms into a microphone. I will tell you what the book is about, where you can find it and in what formats, and how much it costs to buy. I'll share some published commentary from other people, and a sample of the audio book, if there is one.
I hope to expand to interviewing authors and fellow readers as the Podcast develops, so if you'd like to join in, please get in touch. If you'd prefer to listen to an introduction to things, the first episode, as well as highlighting a great book, gives you more information about me.
You can subscribe to the Podcast using any podcatcher or feed reading program by using the URL http://5star.seanrandall.me/feed.xml
Or, each episode has a web page with a player for direct listening. You can also find links to the book discussed on each episode's web page, of course.
If you don't wish to subscribe immediately, do follow @5starPodcast on Twitter or check back for new episodes on this site.
